Toolset Integration to Orion and Web Tools

Hi,
We purchased the SolarWinds Toolset and installed it on our Orion NPM 7.8.5 Server. I had a question regarding the integration with the web views. I would like to be able to launch tools from the web console such as the bandwidth gauge, ping tool, etc. This only seems to work if I launch the web console on the Management Server. From other systems, I get the message that I need to download and install each tool because it is not installed. I hope I am doing something wrong as installing the tools would defeat the purpose of a web console. So the question is, what do I have to do to get those tools to work from any web console?

Hi Ron,

You must have the toolset installed on the PC viewing the Orion web page.
The icons on the web page link to the toolset files you have on your local PC, not the toolset files you installed on the Orion server.

As a matter of fact, you can create custom links to start up almost any application locally on your PC.

Hi Ron,

You need to have a copy of the toolsets installed on each machine you want to launch the tools on from the Orion web interface.

Ok, thanks guys. I was afraid of that. Would have been nice if you could have launched the tools from any browser you were connecting with.
