can someone give me an example of a Filter in Report Writer

in using Report Writer how would i make a Filter for something like - NOT Contains or NOT Starts With?

i find myself having to make too long a list of Filters where something simpler or shorter would help avoid what i don't want.

if you have a solution worked out already, would you post an example screenshot?

i'm still trying to figure out those 'new advanced elem condition' and 'new complex condition' Filters and this might be what i'm looking for, i just don't understand them yet.

Something like this should work:

Depending on what you're trying to do, you can change your conditional to "...where none of the following apply" and then use whatever filters you want. It might mean adding an extra layer of conditions depending on how complex your report filters are already.

i'm just wanting to filter out nodes that start with "C" or "A" or "L".

otherwise i have to build an very long list of Filters by what i do want which takes a long time.

well that did not work...

it's as if it has to be like.

NONE Starts With "C"

NONE Starts With "A"

NONE Starts With "L"

just having them listed like your screenshot still does not work. if i use only one of them it will work, but not as a list.

instead of using NONE - i used NOT ALL and this was the key to making it work - thanks for your reply
