We have Orian Network Performance Monitor 8.5 with a option of Application Monitor 8.5 and we want to be able to monitor if a Windows service is running or not. Is there anyway to do this? We just seam to be able to monitor processes.

You can very easily. There are many custom templates for popular applications in the Content Exchange, or it's very easy to make your own.
Most Windows-based services can be monitored with WMI. There are detailed instructions in the APM Administrator manual located here:

AM 8.5 has End-of-Lifed, so it is not supported. Instead, we offer Application Performance Monitor, which monitors processes, Windows Services, WMI Performance Counters, and a whole lot more.
Thanks, is this admin guide for version 8.5? Becuase I don't seam to get a option to go to AppBuilder ?
The online admin guide is for APM 2.5.
