updating MIB for Orion and other SW software

Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that the Orion MIB is updated by downloading the lastest MIB from the customer portal site and copying it over the existing one in the Common folder. Right?

But, I also noticed that Cirrus and Engineer's Toolset also have MIBs in unique file locations. How are these updated? Through application updates or service packs?

Sorry for the beginners question, but I am really new to SW.

Yes.

Using the same aforementioned MIB update. The locations are specified in the readme.txt included with the update.

* Cirrus: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management
* Orion: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Common
* Toolset v8: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Engineer's Edition\
* Toolset v9: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Engineer's Toolset\

OK, I read the readme file. So, I copy the same MIB file in all three locations?

I created a .bat file to do that for me since I have 10 Polling engines and 15 Engineers with EE.
