Interface alerts

Hi, everyone...

Being fairly new to Orion, I'm not positive this can be done; but I thought I would ask.  What I would like to do is:

1.  If my remote router's serial interface (T1) goes down, change the router icon to RED (major alert)

2.  Or, if the router's serial interface is down, and the Async 1 interface is active (56k modem link for just in case), change the icon to RED (major alert)

3.  However, if the router's serial interface is down but has a tunnel 10 configured and is active (DSL backup link), change the router icon to YELLOW (minor alert)

If none of that is possible, can I:

1.  Change the icon to RED (major alert) if the serial interface is down, regardless of the backup link being active or not.

Right now, if a serial link goes down but a backup link come up, no alert or status change is recorded or seen.  Only if the router is completely donw do I see an issue.

Hello deverts,

The node status in Orion is based on the response of the node IP address.

We can alert on the interface status, and also log NPM events when we see interface status changes.

In network atlas, you can also place the interfaces themselves on the map so that when an interface is down it will show red on the map.
