Orion Network Performance Monitor Service Accounts

Hi All,

I wonder if you can help.  We are currently running Orion Network Performance Monitor 8.0.113 and we would like to alter the Solarwinds services to run under a different domain account.  However when trying to restart the service it comes back with an error:

Could not start the SolarWinds Trap Service on local computer

Error 1053: The service did not respond in a timely fashion.

Now this new account has is a domain admin account and it should therefore have the same permissions as our current account.  I've had a look through the documentation but I can't seem to find anything related to what permissions the Solarwinds services need to function correctly.

Can anyone help?

You might find this Microsft KB article helpful for resolving the Error 1053. You might also consider using the Orion Service Manager to restart the trap service as well.
