After my 8.5.1. experience so far I am scared to apply this SP. Anyone else tried it? -Debbi

Installed last night.. Went through without any problems. Howerver I did download a demo of symantec system state recovery and took an image just in case (quicker recovery that backup). We also had a couple of problems going from 8 to 8.5.

Can the SP1 be applied to 8.5.1 evaluation edition?

SP1 is automatically included in the eval if you downloaded after SP1. If you downloaded before SP1, then download again and just run the Update.exe.

I had that too - I always use the services manager to shut everything down first, back up the data and the WWW, and then run the patch.
