couple network atlas questions

hi - i have a couple of how-to questions about network atlas. first, this is a great upgrade from the last makemaker program. much improved!

my questions are pretty simple and i think i already know the ansers, but maybe i'm missing something in the documentation i've read or toolbars i've looked at.

1 - is there a way to highlight several objects and once aligned tell the program to align text on the right, left, top or bottom of the object? currently i only see 'auto arrange' and that does it only to the right, and not only that, all the objectson the map (most annoying) not just my highlighted objects (solarwinds, are you listening - feature request please!)

2 - it would be nice to be able to 'distribute' by decimal value. it appears you can drag several items together as close as you approximately want them, then it averages this and groups them as such. but if you have several images this may take a long time. how do i grab a bunch, and specifically tell them how close to align them vertically, for example?

3 - i haven't used lansurveyor, is there any way to export from an existing lansurveyor map to network atlas?

#1 - I am listening Under the Edit option in the header there are some options around align etc. Are those not doing what you are looking for or expecting?

#1 - thanks for listening!! no, you are talking about those other buttons, they align objects from what i can tell, not text. only that one button aligns the text "align labels". i have hundreds of items on my map and i'm sitting here clicking and dragging the labels all to the left or right hand side of the object and of course, they aren't really all lining up properly or exactly. do i have this right that this is the way to do this? seems strange that i can't highlight a series of objects w/labels, then say "align labels right/left/top/bottom" as desired. this would be grand.

#2 - say i've got 40 objects and i want to stack them all one on top of each other, and i have a limited amount of space on my map. how do i do it? i can snap to grid, sort of - this kind of works but is a bit tedius - thing still seem to not snap exactly a certain space apart no matter how hard i try. so i do the best i can, then do the 'align vertically' and it seems to do some kind of averag of the bunch and even it out. fair enough, but it would be nice to be able to take a whack of objects in a cluster and enter a value (sort of like in Excel, giving a cell width value) and tell it "align vertically with X amount of Pixels/cm's/inches/whatever apart. then you could really dial it in if you were familiar with the scale of your map you were drawing.

#1 ah ok, I see where you are getting at, you just want to aligh the labels, not the node, interface etc. on the screen
