In my environment am able to see huge traffic flowing towards orion and AD server via 445 SMB. Anyone aware of this in UDT documentation nowhere mention about port 455 required.

do you have the AD-Username resolution enabled in your UDT? Then Solarwinds will lookup Usernames associated with their Clientnames/IPs/MACs. If you have a rather big environment, the traffic can be quite noticable.
But you are right, its nowhere mentioned in the documentation, atleast i could not find it after a quick search.
