Interfaces in an Unknown State

We use the main map of NPM as a way for our service desk to be alerted of network issues. Under normal circumstances all is working correctly, however if we lose power to a site and all the interfaces go to unknown state then the node in the map still appears to be up (same colour). It should change to a red (down) status, why doesn't that happen?

I have the same issue at the moment, I have two devices in a down state and interfaces in unknown state , but NPM states they are UP, I have down a rediscovery and NPM comes back and states the node is down.

Running NPM 10.1.2
