Web site availability

We're currently using Nagios to monitor availability and provide alerting for a few of our web sites we host but would like to bring this into Orion.

Is there any news on the Network Services module and does this do it, or, has anyone and other ideas how to monitor a site within Orion??

We've trialled the app monitor but it's not quite what we want as IIS can still be running and a site be down and it's no use adding a node with just response/availability as again, the site can be down but the IP wil still reply.
