XML Snapshots

I'm using the XML snapshot feature in ORION 8 for a custom application that reads the contents of the XML snapshot file for a device status change and current bandwidth.

Question, is the XML snapshot feature referencing a configuration file somewhere in the ORION directory? If so could I perhaps adjust the parameters within the file so the XML snapshot only provides the information I am after and not a total network status dump? Also, can I further reduce the 60 second XML generation to say 30 seconds?

My next alternative is perhaps an SQL script to provide similar information, but not too hot on SQL, so any prompts there is also appreciated.
