V9.5 SP3 Install failed.... yes another one

was trying a fresh install on a 64bit server and when it was trying to modify some registry entries it could not find them due to it looking in the 64 bit portion and not under the Wow6432node portion.

Sp2 was dismal at installing and needed manual SQL entries to get through it.

and now SP3 is starting off just as bad.

Guys come on get your installer working right.

We are looking at upgrading our production 64bit servers and would like to know if this will be an issue for ourselves.

We're having issues with the install, specifically the initial configuration wizard crashing due to a c00005 "accessing protected memory error" with the evaluation version of 9.5 SP4. This is on 2008 SP2 Standard 64-bit 4gig of ram VMware ESX 3.5

Attempting to run the Diagostic Utility results in it crashing as well..:(

Does anyone know when the product road-map has a native x64 build

of Orion on it? For a product of this complexity I'm pretty certain it would do wonders to have more than 4GB of memory available to it.

It's not especially important to us. Having more than 4GB of RAM is not critical to Orion. There are lots of way to solve the same problem without putting everything in memory. And there is serious overhead to 64-bit native that would hurt performance. It's great where it's needed, but it's not a universally good thing at this point.
