Renaming Network Topology server help...

I have to rename our network topology mapper server. (same server just new name) What is the best way to do this?

Does it require a license reset? or just re-run config wizard? I've read both things on the forums but haven't tried either yet.

SAM 6.1.1, QoE 1.0, IPAM 4.2, NPM 11.0.1, Storage 5.1.0, IVIM 1.10.0

The Solarwinds License might get affected when renaming the server name. It is safer to to park the license first to avoid further problems.

Like airsun said, you will want to deactivate the license prior to the IP change. One other thing to keep in mind is that you have have to allow queries for the new IP, if you are using SNMP for mapping.

Thanks for the replies. Not changing the IP, just a name change on the same server.

I give it a go with the license manager.
