Alert forwarding to mobile phone

Within network performance monitor there is no problem to forward an
alert to an email recipient.
Is there a possibilty to forward an alert to a mobile phone
using sms ?
If so, how can I proceed ?

if your phone supports messaging all you should need to do it plug in your address

6025551234@messaging.nextel.com or 6025551234@mobile.att.net etc. This works just fine for us. You just have to provide the software with a mail gateway to process the messages.
