I'm using a Droid X and when I type in the address of my Orion interface I'm getting the full interface. How do I access the mobile view?
Shawn Waldman
Interesting, it should detect you are coming from a mobile browser and give you the mobile view. Regardless if you add ?ismobileview=true to the end of the URL you will get the mobile view
That worked. Thanks. It's definitely not auto-detecting though. Let me know if you want any additional details. Of course, I need to try it from another phone to make sure it's just not something up with my Droid.
Shawn
HTC Evo does that same thing. Does not detect it automatically, but if I add the ?ismobileview=true, then it works.
Motorola Cliq T and Ipad 3G - No autodetection.
I am going to open a case - I need the autodetection to work, so Ill post back if I get something.
Please do let us know what they say. Autodetection doesn't work for my default browser on my Droid v2.2 either. -Scott
Auto detection doesnt work on Blackberry 9700 too.
Support verified that the autodetection is busted. They filed a bug for us.
For folks where auto-detection isn't working, can you go to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ and tell us what your returned user agent is?
Thanks.
I have a Droid Incredible running 2.2 and it also does not show the mobile version by default. Here is the output of whatsmyuseragent.com. This is done with the built in browser.
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; ADR6300 Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, Like Gecko)
Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1
I dont have access to an apple device, but for my Motorla Cliq Titanium, my agent shows to be
"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; MB200 Build/ERD79) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17"
I have asked the guys that have iphones and ipads to forward me what they get.
Side note - Safari? Really? On an Android device? interesting.
