Trying to get Cisco Digital Media Players (DMP) into solarwinds

Question

OK I'm new to the SolarWinds world and so far so good :)   What I'm trying to do is to get my DMP's at each site into the system.  They do not do SNMP but each has an IP address.  I put the IP address into the system for discovery and the system found them but they are being reported as DOWN and are showing up RED.  Also they are showing up as UNKNOWN since the system can't determine what they are.

1.  Has anyone else tried to put a DMP into the system?  If so did you get it to work?

2. Is there a way to tell the system that an device type UNKNOWN is actually type CISCO device?

You might look into the DMP config and try to use SNMP TRAPS with Solarwinds. Unless those only work with the DM Manager server:

I found this on Cisco's site about DMP and SNMP. It apears there is an optional SNMP module with a DM Manager server to work with the DMP.

However, I don't understand the statement

Note: The Cisco Digital Media Manager server provides the Cisco Digital Media Player alerts through SNMP. There is currently no direct Cisco Digital Media Player SNMP support.
