Orion NPM and VNQM vs. Paessler PRTG

Question

Needing some help to identify the qualities that make Solarwinds NPM and VNQM the optimal platform for Proactively and Actively Monitoring a Cisco IPT Phone System v11.5.1 vs. Paessler PRTG.  Any bullet point one sentence issues in the form of requirements would be helpful.

I think VNQM can do a bit more than PRTG.

The real value with Solarwinds is the correlation between all the modules.

with only 2 Modules to look at, it can be challenging to justify the higher cost of Solarwinds compared to PRRG. It gets easier with more modules.

I will say that you are looking at a piece of software (VNQM) that did not got real updates in the last 2 years?

IP TLF today means SIP and MS lync non of those are natively supported ...

I don't know PRTG but it's looks like it can handle SIP and Cisco IPSLA

Any how generally investing time and money in EoL technology (TDM voice ) is not a long term strategy...

You can use VNQM to collect CDR reports for the CM which is useful when troubleshooting call issues.  Also if you are using Cisco Infrastructure you can use IPSLA on the routers and report the metrics or set alerts on the results.  I don'e believe you can do that with PRTG
