Ability to add item into the right click menu

We need the ability to add a program for accessing devices via SSH instead telnet into the right click menu on the web site. Security audits will gig most companies for using telnet access so we've move most of our devices to SSH and we use the putty program to do this

For a new window, try:

ExecString="c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe ${IP} /n"

As far as a new tab, cant you configure the tabs in IE to open all new URL's in a new tab?

the ENG TOOLSET documents something like this, which might work for you.

i guess it depends on if you have both installed the ENG TOOLSET and then go browsing on ORION's website to the Node and right click to use SSH instead of TELNET.

You can do this with the current version. There is a file on the local machine where the Toolset is installed called "SWToolset.menuoptions". You can edit this file to launch pretty much anything. We've added a menu option to launch Secure CRT. Editing the file is pretty straight forward.

You'll need to reload your browser after editing the file to see the changes.

what do you think the EXECSTRING would need to be to use Internet Explorer's OPEN LINK IN NEW WINDOW and OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB?

this is something which bugs me when i'd rather use one of these instead of actually executing something on the toolset list.

what i had in mind was something that looked like this when you right click a node, interface or volume.

as it is now, if you right click, all you get are the toolset items. i was looking to include Open new tab, Open new window...along with those toolset items.

I could not get any of the posted ways to work for me, But what I did was:

Boot the server in safe mode, deleted telnet.exe, coped putty into the c:/windows/system32 dir and renamed it telnet.exe.

Works great. I right click on a node select telnet and putty comes up. Works for me

For those modifying the SwToolset.MenuOptions file to customize your Orion/Toolset integration menu the file you will want to edit now is at:

<LocalApplicationData>\SolarWinds\ToolsetIntegrationTray\Menu.xml

Where <LocalApplicationData> = <ProfileFolder>\Local Settings\ Application Data

This is for the current method of Orion/Toolset integration which started with Toolset 10.6.
