Primary showing showing CPU usage spikes while exporting reports

My Primary server is showing a CPU usage spike to a 100% when users are trying to export reports on the web console by clicking on "export to xls", the server gets stuck and i get a "request timed out" error and i have to refresh the page. This does not happen when trying to take reports with a time frame of 7 days, happens for a month and more.

This makes my console pretty slow too.

I had my server migrated to a virtual machine a month back, been facing this issue for a week now.

Exports are done using a specific file within orion install.. can you confirm if all SolarWinds files are not being blocked?

Thanks janene16, i have all the exclusions in place.

I am able to pull the report if the sample interval is 2 or 6 hours, but it does not come if i give the sample interval as 1 hour.

HI Malcolm,

Are u seeing any errors in the logs for the DB connection or any other which talks about this timeout. I guess its not able to fetch the data.

Retention settings have been changed by any chance?
