Is there a way to suppress events?

Hi,
I'm currently monitoring some interfaces on a workgroup switch, which go up and down as users turn their machines on and off, as you might imagine. Events are created when these interfaces change. Is there any way to keep monitoring the interfaces, but keep the events from being displayed?

Hi Russ,

If you have the interfaces selected there is not much you can do in terms of eliminating the events caused when the interfaces go up and down (at least that I am aware of).

I have had a similar issue with several of our switches that have critical user workstations on them. I monitor the interfaces and receive alerts whenever a user powers off their PC.

Anything change on this with the 8.5.1 version? Not being able to select witch interfaces generate events, the events become much less meaningful, just noise.
