SNMPV3 help

Question

I'm looking for help with an issue I am facing adding devices via snmp v3.

I have a secondary poller setup. When I try to use that to connect to a device I get the below error:

Test Failed. No DNS entries exist for host "Poller Name" where is it looking for a dns entry? My domain or the secondary poller domain?

If I use a snmp tester from the secondary poller it connects fine

I have noticed some inconsistencies regarding lookups - are you using the FQDN of the device?  I've even had to (sometimes) enter the device with it's IP address, then after it's in the database modify the hostname.

Yes, I thought about this as well but even after disabling it I had the same issue.

If I add the device using my main polling engine. Then switch it to the secondary poller it works fine

Do you have firewall on the secondary poller?
