I have recently added 10 AIX-6.1 nodes in SolarWinds, it picked up all volumes/interface details but shows wrong last boot time for all AIX nodes. How can I fix this problem....??????
Thanks
If you are looking for the System Uptime, you will need to add HrSysuptime OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1 in the Universal Device Poller.
If you have not created a Custom Poller before, the following video will show you how to add an OID, search MIBs, Transform a MIB result, and create a Table to show on your Website.
Create a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) in the Orion Platform - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
The Uptime is based on the Uptime of the SNMP Service using the SysUptime OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3. This is to make the Last Boot work on more devices.
Where shoul I look or add this OID to resolve this issue?
Regards
So if we have to use the HrSysUptime OID, which appears to work, what number is the standard SysUptime OID reporting? And when that value zero's out what is happening to make it zero out?
I've looked into 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1 for hrSystemUptime for my monitoring environment. I still need to confirm the data as accurate, but wanted to share some points of interest with the community as I was having a hard time finding a solution for this particular ask.Just a note for other administrators, it is not compatible with some devices (such as, Western Telematic Devices). I'm trying to find a solution to monitor the "true" system uptime for these devices and was really hoping this would be a solution. It does appear to be compatible with Juniper SRX firewalls though, which is another area of interest for me.
I am having a strange problem with OID for hrSystemUptime. When I test the OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1 on our Cisco devices, I keep getting the error message that reads "The OID is not supported".
Any ideas???
