Wireless APs - Cisco 1200 series

Question

We have a mixture of 1231Gs and 1242Gs.  The 1231s are showing up fine as Wireless Access Points, but the 1242s just show up as Nodes.  The wireless ones have different guages and show active clients etc.  The 1242s just show up as normal nodes view page like a server.  I have tried removing and re-adding and no luck.  They are listed in the Wireless network App.  I am monitoring the dot11radios and BVI interfaces.  My 1231s are running 12.3(4)JA and 12.3(8)JA2.  My 1242s are running 12.3(7)JA2 and 12.3(8)JA2.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

PS  I also noticed that the ones I have updated to 12.3(8)JA2 now show the Signal Quality bar graph.

Dang, nevermind.  I can change the DB, but it seems on the next poll it changes it back to Cisco.

Help SW, how can this be fixed?

Figured it out but not sure why this is happening.  The Cisco 1242 Access Points are getting a "Machine Type" classification as "Cisco" which is set to Node Details.  My 1231s are set to a Machine Type of Cisco 1200 Access Point.

I found this by comparing a 1231 and 1242 in the DB manager.  So I know how to manualy fix it, but is this an issue on SW side or Cisco's side?

The only thing AP wise in my list is Cisco 1200 Access Point and it is already set to Wireless Access Point.
