Configuring Alerts

Hello all,

Is it possible to use syslog message received on NPM to trigger an alert? e.g send an email to a recipient when NPM receives a particular syslog message pattern, just like cisco eem does

Yes. In the Syslog Viewer on your SolarWinds server go to the "View" menu and click on "Alerts/Filter Rules..."

Click on "Add New Action", fill in the relevant information and you should be up and running.
