Deleteing obsolete interfaces from Device in Orion

Hello!

We are upgrading many of our firewalls that we monitor in Orion to a newer model which of course has the same IP address as the older model. When we upgrade, the new devices show up in Orion automatically (since the IP address is the same) and I am able to see all the interfaces associated with the new device; however, interfaces that were specific to the old device still show up in an "unknown" state and I can't figure out a way to get rid of them. Is it possible to delete theses old interfaces without deleting and re-adding the entire device?

Yes. The easiest way would be to go into manage nodes from the Settings area of the website. Next to the node in question will be a +. Click on this, and you will see all the interfaces, even the unknown ones. Select the unknown ones you do not then go to More Actions > Delete Selected...... These should remove those interfaces from the list and from Orion NPM.

Yup what Matthew said is correct except you can just click on the delete button.
