XenServer Monitoring - No Resources Available

I am trying to monitor the XenServer farm (hosts) version 5.5 and 5.6.

I enabled SNMP on the servers and the tests are fine (green).

However, when I go to manage nodes "List Resources" returns nothing. (I'd like to see the CPU, memory or at least the interfaces)

On couple servers I edited the snmpd.conf file, adding this line:

view systemview included 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021

On those, I get some results but only for the hypervisor (aka it says total memory 750 MB when my server has 96GB!!!)

Is there any instructions how get this done? Google (or thwack) were useless on this

Why not set it as: view systemview included .1 ?

Im running Xenserver 5.6 with cou etc being monitored fine. You need to ensure you punch a hole through iptables or just stop the service entirely if you don't need it.

Add the following lines to the INPUT section, but before the DENY ALL line:

-A INPUT -p udp --dport 161 -j ACCEPT

Thanks for your answer.

I did all that from the beginning... I do get SNMP connectivity, it's just that I can get (at most) some CPU an memory data for the hypervisor machine and not the entire server.

Again, I got to the point where it reports 750MB total available memory while that blade actually has 110 GB total RAM.
