Some Service Problems With Modules after Failure

Hello,

 We are in the process of demoing Orion, the VoIP Monitor, and NetFlow modules.  To make a long said story short, I accidently killed power to my test machine that was running SQLExpress and corrupted the database.  I talked to one of our DBA's and he created a DB on one of our Dev DB Servers for me.  Ever since then, things have been strange.  The poller acts a bit differently and the VoIP and NetFlow services won't start.  I'm trying to recreate everything and get it back to the previous state I had it but I'm not having much luck.   I uninstalled both modules and reinstalled just the VoIP Monitor but the service is doing the same thing.

 Any thoughts?

I think I found it, I followed what this article suggested and the problem seemed to have stopped.

Some of my services do not start and there is an error stating that "XYZ SolarWinds service did not respond in a timely fashion" to the Service Control Manager. The services in question do not include the SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor service. How can I fix this? There are a number of reasons that your services may be timing out. Because SolarWinds services are signed, they attempt to access the internet and verify themselves at thawte.com. To bypass this verification where your server does not have internet access or your internet connection is unstable, you can add the following lines to your hosts file, found in \Windows\system32\drivers\etc: 127.0.0.1 wpad 127.0.0.1 crl.thawte.com
