I'm alerting volumes with 2 different alerts, one dedicated to system drives another for data drives with general conditions: %space used>90, space left<10GB.
In most cases conditions are ok except few servers. On those servers data drives usage is balancing around 95% (space left around 4 GB) and that is acceptable. It would be necessary to add condition about dynamics of disk usage changes (example: if AvgDiskUsed and MaxDiskUsed week ago differ for less than 1% than current AvgDiskUsed and MaxDiskUsed then alert does not trigger.
I know that probably my alert should integrate with Custom SQL Alert to solve the problem but it needs more SQL knowledge than mine. Can anybody help with it?
