Orion v7 on Win2003 Server
eppler
I know the Orion 6.x won't run on Windows 2003, but have they fixed the SNMP problem with version 7? I'm intending on upgrading soon, and have to decide which machine to put it on. Thanks,
Steven

Version 7.x fully supports Windows 2000, XP Pro, and 2003.
As of 12/16/2003 there is only one known issue on Windows 2003.
When installed on a Windows 2003 server with high Mhz multiple processor (4+ cpu) configuration, COM+ will sometimes stop functioning and cause maps to stop rendering.
This problem was identified on a 4 processor 3+Mhz Xeon server.
And ... with much thanks to Microsoft the problem was found and a fix should be publicly available by 12/22/2003.
This problem is specific to Windows 2003 and seems to occur only on large server configurations.
