8.5 is making me lose hair - Alerts not going out

I have multiple alerts setup for the same situation for different groups of people. These alerts send out emails. After the upgrade to 8.5 It does not appears the emails are going out reliably. It actually seems like one set of alerts works everytime and the others do not.

To clarify the alerts are kicking off as I see them listed in the Advanced alert Window.

There was an issue with acknowledging an alert from the web console, and the alert disappeared and then re- triggered. Can you test fire these advanced alerts from Orion System Manager?

When I test fire the log shows it goes out as normal but I get the same results. One group can get them without fail and the others work here and there but usually not.

I have tested further.

It does not seem to be alert based but possibly email address based.

I took one of the alerts that was not sending out and in the CC put in the address from the alerts that are working and the working address got the email and the other did not. I then took it further and put the working address after the non working address in the same field separated by a comma. And again the same thing happenned.

The only difference between these addresses besides whom they go to is their format. The working is one word IE test@test.com. The non working is test.test.test@test.com .
