Sharepoint and Orion co-exist on same server?

I have Orion with SQL2005 installed on a Win2003SP1 server and running fine. Being limited on hardware resources, I'd like to install Sharepoint Services on the same server.

Remembering some experiences from the past, I know SPS and other web apps don't get along sometimes. If I have Orion on a different port (already installed that way), technically I should be fine. The reality isn't always that way, however.

Does anyone have SPS or MOSS installed on the same server as Orion? If so, what has been your experience thus far?

Yes -- and don't do it .. No real problem with web app collisions, but MOSS is a real hog of resources... pretty much needs it's own server.

With Indexing and other background functions in MOSS, yes, I agree. A SPS installation, though, doesn't use nearly that level of resources.

So no web app collisions? Did you actually run both concurrently on the same box?
