response time on 9.1SP4 and virtual machine

Hello,

We recently moved our server to a virtual machine and upgraded to 9.1SP4. The database sits on a different machine and the virtual machine has a dedicate NIC assigned to it. I have been noticing a trend where the response time keeps incrementing to ridiculous levels (right now most nodes are sitting at 500ms) and it keeps going up. Has anyone noticed this on 9.1SP4 or a virtual machine? I am attaching a couple of screenshots showing the problem.

I had to set "/usepmtimer" on boot.ini

it happesn on a 2003 server running on MS Hyper-V with two processors.
