playing sound when an alarm is taking place

I'm actually facing troubles with playing sounds when an alarm is taking place. In advanced alert manager, I do choose the sound to play as the trigger action and fill in the necessary conditions but no chance, I mean when I try the other actions as sending email, or logs it's okay, but nothing happens when i choose playing sound as an action. Can you help me on this.

Hello,

1. Play sound action play sound only from audio output in Main poller. More info how setup in Windows Server 2008 in SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Enabling audible alerts (Play a Sound action) on Windows Server 2008.

2. Another way is use Edit account and Enable "Alert sound". Open Alerts page in one tab. Every alert will play sound through browser.

3. Define "send email action" and Filter that email in Email client and as Action use play sound. In outlook it is very easy.
