SMPP messaging ???

I am setting up SMS alerts with a perl.exe. I have run in to a problem that I do not know how to send environmental variables to the pl file that is relaying my SMS messages. Are the variables known when the alerts are triggered or will they have to be a sql query to be able to give me a more specific alert.

I guess I am asking the question incorrectly. Does anyone know how to pass alert variables ${ifName} to either a .vbs or .bat from the alert triggers options?

When I add the variable to the end of my .bat or .vbs it errors the call to my .bat and .vbs error is that the file does not exist.

i have the same problem, alerts engine do not pass variables to command line correctly. i have to send syslog messages to another software that run my macros.

If enclosing the whole command in quotes does not work then try enclsoing just the variables.
