DB size for a new installation

Question

Dear all,

can I have an idea of the Db size after one year utilization of NPM + NTA  2000 with default settings ?5 Go - 30 Go ?

Do you have also an idea of I/O per second?

It 's for a new installation and I need to provide some info to correclty size the DB I have to request to the DB team :-)

Check out this paper. It has a lot of information about the SQL server. For your deployment it all depends on how many netflow interfaces yuo monitor and how long you retain the data for netflow.   Netflow is very write intensive on the database so we alyays recommend RAID 10. Don't use RAID 5.
