Copying alert configuration to polling engine

I have just implemented a polling engine and wish to copy over the alert configuration from my original server so that my polling engine alerts in the same manner with the same thresholds etc. Does anyone know an easy way to do this ?

I was expecting the Polling engine to take care of this problem but it does not seem to.

Having you tried disabling and re-enabling the alert for the specific element in the System Manager? That's the first thing I would check, as moving node from one engine to the next might disable the alert on the original polling engine.

Just a thought...haven't gotten up to two engines yet.
