SolarWinds 8.5.1 and SQL enterprise Edition 2005 Service Pack II issues

We are upgrading our SQL from express to Enterprise edition 2005 SVC Pack II. This supposedly will help our performance since we have 6 polling engine and one database server.

Has anyone done this, and if so, did you experience improvement in performance, or had any issues afterwards?
