Variable picker in Orion Web Console

I was reading in the NPM Admin Guide earlier, specifically on Page 730 within the Appendix A:.

There was a reference to the "variable picker" in the Orion Web console.  See below:

"Note:  All variables are available in the variable picker in the Orion Web Console.  You do not need to create or enter variables manually."

Can anyone tell me where the "variable picker" is within the Orion Web Console?

I'm willing to believe this refers to when you're creating an action on an alert, or adding certain resources, there is an "Insert Variable" button- for example one can include a node's caption in the subject of an email using a SWIS variable that would look like a ${N= M=} type variable, and rather than trying to remember how to type out the one for "Caption" you can just click the button then go find caption and click insert.

If it's not that, I have no idea what it would actually be.
