Grouped Nodes As One Item On Map

I have custom properties set to group my nodes at particular locations. I have a Data Center location that contains five nodes, Corporate that contains five nodes, and a branch office that contains five nodes (just as an example). On the Network Summary Home screen, I have the nodes grouped by my locations. I can't find a way to add the "group" of nodes to Map Maker - I can add individual nodes just fine. Is there a way to easily add the grouping to Map Maker similar to the way it would appear grouped on Network Summary Home?

I would like to accomplish this: If any node inside the group goes down or experiences problems, I would like the node group to turn either yellow or red in color similar to the group on Network Summary Home.

Yes but you have to create all the maps.

Create 3 maps with the individual nodes on them.

Create 1 high level map with the preiviously create 3 maps.

How do I link the different maps together? I'm a little confused about how they will work. Thanks for your help!

What you are wanting is accomplished by nesting the maps. In Map Maker create your lowest level of maps that will contain your network nodes and interfaces. Then create several higher levels of maps, i.e. global, regional, country, etc.- whatever makes sense for your network. Then drag and drop the lower level maps on the higher level maps. If something goes wrong on the lower level map, the error state will propagate to the higher level maps creating a graphical path to your error state. Hint: start by building your lower level maps first.

Beat me to it, Sorry though you did ask for an easy way, but in simple terms you drag maps onto a map the same as you do with nodes.

Creating child maps and dragging them onto the parent map works good. Exactly what I needed - thanks!
