Monitoring "other" mibs

Hey all,

I realise Orion cannot currently monitor other MIBS than those it is configured to use

however I need to monitor a MIB (specifically for retrieving SAA information from Cisco routers).

Does anyone currently poll an arbitary MIB and store the data in an SQL database? If so, which tool are you using to do this??? (windows)

If I can get this far then I can display the results from our website on a custom asp page linked from the orion site?

If you have Solarwinds Engineering Edition you can poll any MIB with the Custom MIB Polling/Graphing app. I beleive it will also write the data to a .csv or .txt file.

You'd be better off getting a product designed to this right out of the box, such as Crannog Software's Response Watch for an Enterprise Network;
