Orion 8.5.1 Website/DB Timeout

I need to extend the timeout of the website when running reports against the database.

I am running v8.5.1 and the last hotfix applied is the one dated Sept. 14, 2007.

I have modified the SWNetPerfMon.DB file to read:

! Database Command timeout in seconds
CommandTimeout=300

I have run all the Configuration Wizards and have reboot the Orion/Db server (same machine).

The web reports still throws a timeout error after approx. 90 seconds.

Has anyone had luck with this on v8.5.1?

If so, care to share how?

Bob,

Be sure to adjust the ASP script timeout. By default it is set to 90sec. Open up IIS Manager. Right clickick on the Orion website listing and select Properties. Then select the Home Directory tab. On that screen near the bottom will be a Configuration button, select it and an Application Configuration window will pop up. Select the second tab, Options, there you will see the Timeout setting. Adjust accordingly.

Thanks, I missed that one. I set the main WebSite Connection Timeout, but missed the ASP Script Timeout Setting.

Unfortunately, that did not help
