SMTP retry

Is there a way to have Orion try more than once to email an alert? 95+% of the time, the alerts get emailed just fine. It's those few times where a critical server has gone down - and the email never got sent - that gets me in trouble. I'm not sure what causes it to fail, but, for example, if there were an option to retry 3 times, it would be GREAT! -Scott

I had the same problem due to Internet outage issues. We ended up buying Notepager to accomplish this. This way we could utilize a modem for an Internet outage (pinging Google or Yahoo), or mail server issues.
