Custom Poller - Serial number display

Question

Hi, i have a custom poller that pulls back the serial of cisco devices. I am trying to get this to show in the node details section of each device, so when i drill down, i can see the serial somewhere on the page. No idea how to do this, ive tried for ages!

Is it possible?

On your NPM website...Admin --> Manage Views --> Node Details (for example) --> Node Detail Reports - Resources that Apply to a Single Node --> Node Tabular Universal Device Poller.

Preview the page and assign the poller you prefer from the preview page.  I've noticed that sometimes the node chosen isn't the type of hardware I'm trying to assign the poller to, so I modify the URL in the browser by changing the NetObject=N:_ _ _ _ part to be the ID of a node that does have the poller applied.

YES!

This is possible as I am doing it today. It requires adding a CP for the SerialNumber and a SQL Agent job to read the data and then post into the Nodes table.
