Configuring advance alert

Howdy,

I'm trying to setup an alert so if the edge router or the L3 switch go down, I don't get paged from all the devices behind it. Right now I have alerts setup so if the edge router/circuit goes down, then I don't get paged from all the devices behind it. I'm just not sure how to add in the L3 switch part of it.

Example: (currently have)

Trigger Alert when all of the following apply:

Node Name contains site name

Node Name is not equal to edge router

Node Status is equal to Down

You just have to add something like the following to the "Alert Suppresion" tab (as opposed to the "Trigger Condition" tab)

Suppress Alert when any of the following apply:



Node Name equal to edge router



Node Name equal to L3 switch

With this suppression defined, you should be able to remove "Node Name is not equal to edge router" from the "Trigger Condition" tab.
