Nodes showing down in NPM but are pingable from local user machine

I have a couple of nodes in NPM which are shown as down. But when I try to ping them from my machine, they are pingable and I also checked with the local IT on site, and they informed me the devices are up and running. I have already tried below links:

But unfortunately that has not resolved the issue. I also tried to delete the nodes and re-add it, and when I re-add the nodes they are UP for a while, but after some time they automatically are again shown as down.

Can anyone please provide me a solution to resolve this issue?

How many instances of that IP address are there? Could you be monitoring that IP address already?

There's only 1 instance of the IP Address. I also just checked to confirm it.

Any suggestions how can I resolve it?

There are too many to go through here. I would advise you to get in touch with support and have a set of diagnostics ready to upload.

Have you tried setting the Node Status to SNMP rather than ICMP in List Resources? If so did that change anything?

A down node indicates that whatever method of polling you have selected is not available from the poller to the endpoint, so you have to troubleshoot those polling methods and those locations.

First, you should be testing from your polling engine, can you ping the ip from on that server? If you cannot hit it from there, but other places can, that indicates most likely a firewall rule somewhere along the way or a routing problem. Do you have the node set as a DHCP node, in which case is the hostname resolving correctly on the polling engine?

When you added that node is it set up for icmp/snmp/wmi or the agent? If you are using the agent and the agent itself gets turned off the node would display as down, unless you change it to get status based on ICMP under the list resources.

I am using SNMP polling and able to ping the nodes from my NPM server. It is set for SNMPv3

What type of devices are you polling? Are there any firewalls in between? Is it a Cisco device, have you checked the ip redirect cache? "show ip redirect" "clear ip redirect"

To help isolate your issue it would be helpful to know what's being monitored. is this a router, a switch or some other device on the network. Are other devices being managed on the same subnet? If this is a route or switch what interface are you managing it by, a virtual interface, physical interface or a loopback address.
