Hi,
We use NetPath to monitor various web systems in use across our MPLS Network, and one particular system has inconsistent performance and a problem which we believe may be caused by an issue in the system suppliers data centre (also connected to our MPLS Network).
Our NetPath regularly shows the system as down or connectivity 'unreliable' and this often coincides with bad user experiences such as sluggish performance and/or lost connectivity. Each time it happens NetPath always shows the last hop of the connection as having high latency, lost packets or completely down.
We've shown this to the system supplier and asked them to investigate but their response has been that it's a false positive and that it's a known-issue with SolarWinds NetPath? They go on to say that the problem is likely to be somewhere else along the network path! I've spent a bit of time goolging this but can't find anything about it, so I thought I'd ask the question on here. For your info I've attached an example screenshot of the NetPath trace that we see when the issue occurs.
Both the MPLS network and the system are managed services so I don't have much more to use to help us troubleshoot where the problem may lie.
