monitoring international network & timezone confusion

Hi, I'd like to know how the data is being presented for my international sites. Such as, I have users reporting slowness, in the UK around GMT 1600 hours . The device is being monitored from my server in the US. Do I search for data during the absolute time of 4pm, or do I search for data during a converted time of 8am (pacific timezone) because my server is here in the US and 4pm in the UK =8am CA ? thanks for not laughing out loud.....

netnerd, this is a great question so nobody is going to laugh at you here :-)

The data gets stored in the database from the poll time. So the timezone that the poller is configured for is what you should look at.

I've asked for this as a feature request. I'd like to have all data in Orion formatted for GMT and 24 hour clock. Where you monitoring or polling servers resides should have no basis on the data collected. All our network devices are set to GMT.

If you want to see the data in your local timezone, you should be able to set that as a user attribute, not as a system or poller attribute.
