Dynamic Query for Nodes in a certain IP range

Good Morning Forum,

I am stuck with creating a dynamic query (for a Group) of nodes in a certain IP range. I thought my query would be simple.... All I need to do is show all monitored nodes in the IP address of

10.64.0.0 thru 10.65.255.255.... Basically this is just IP range 10.64.0.0/15....

I created the dynamic query 10.6[4-5].*.* My goal was to fix the first character of the second octet as a 6 and the 2nd character as either a 4 or 5.

When I try to preview the query I keep getting the message that the query doesn't contain any object, However there are over a hundred objects in that IP space... Any hints on how I can fix my query?

Strangely enough I tried it out with the 2nd octet and it seems to produce results.

Yea..... I went through those examples before starting this thread. I have tried the query with and without the quotation marks. Replace the ' * ' with a ' ? ' as the online help suggest but nothing works. The only difference I can see here is that all of the examples shown use the 3rd octet of the IP address... I am trying to match the 2nd octet... Maybe that can't be done..

I see what the trouble is..... In your example you have IP address ' MATCHES ' then your expression... In my query window I had IP address ' Contains ' then the expression. I wanted to add a screen shot but I keep receiving the message that the image type is forbidden. Don't know why....

Once I changed my query to ' MATCHES ' results displayed as expected... Is there a difference between contains or matches?
