Solarwinds DB

Question

I'm a VMware guy who inherited a Solarwinds issue (personnel turnaround) so thanks in advance for any assistance.

1.  The DB is hosted on a dedicated SQL server.  I did not have access (permissions) to the DB so we created a new instance and moved the DB to it.  Now I am the dbo of the dB.

2.  How do I point Solarwinds to the DB on the new instance?

On the Solarwinds server in the Start Menu, open the Configuration Wizard as Administrator. Follow the defaults and check Database when prompted and let it finish. The initial web console load after that will be a little slow as IIS rebuilds it cache.
